What is High On Jesus?

A program to help addicts and alcoholics change their lives in every way possible. We help people find a life with God, sobriety, and a healthy mindset.

It is led by Justin Halas, who is a recovering addict and knows the challenges people face when recovering from addiction.

What is the problem you solve?

We help bridge the gap that exists with people that struggle with addiction or alcoholism coming out of jail, detox or directly off the street that want to make a change but have no resources and no one to help them out.  We also help family members with a loved one struggling with addiction or alcoholism that have no clue where to turn to or how to help them.

Describe what your ministry does.

We have an interview process, then place individuals into safe sober living homes and provide a financial start.  We also provide material necessities such as food, clothing, hygeine products, cell phones with 1 month of use, replacement identification and help with securing a full time job.  We then walk alongside through peer to peer counseling and our weekly family recovery meetings High on Jesus.  We help family members by working directly with them and providing counseling, solutions, information and interventions.

What is your mission and/or values?

We provide support, stability and security for those seeking recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. We believe with peer support and access to basic needs these individuals will be able to completely restore their lives and become self-sustaining members of our community.

What are some results you are seeing?

We are seeing lives and dignity restored, people coming to Christ, achievements such as great careers, driver’s licenses, vehicles, leaders at their recovery homes.  Many have gone on to restore relationships with their family, secure their own housing, and gaining custody of their children!
